Thomas Roberts, Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Roberts Jr., who departed this life surrounded by family and loved ones on January 16, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on July 10, 1962, in Passaic, New Jersey, Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose fun-loving spirit and profound kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Tom dedicated many years of service to the Lyndhurst Parks & Recreation Department. He took great pride in his masonry skills and construction projects that can be seen throughout the town.

Tom was a proud member of the American Legion Post 139, where he actively contributed to the community, embodying the values of service and camaraderie that the organization represents. His commitment to his country and community was matched only by his love for his family.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Roberts; loving son of Katherine Roberts and the late Thomas Roberts, Sr.; daughter, Samantha Donovan and her husband Michael, son, Thomas Roberts III and his wife Alexandria; and his cherished grandchildren, Hananiah Rei and Malachi Jude. He is also survived by his dear sister, Diane Jankowski and her husband Robert; his brother, Scott Roberts and his wife Tracy; as well as nephews Bobby, Marc, Kyle Jankowski, and niece Madison Roberts.

In honor of Tom's remarkable life, a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 from 2:00pm-7:00pm, at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst NJ, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his legacy of love and dedication. The Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at 10:00am in Mt. Carmel Church, followed by a burial service at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Tom's family welcomes all who knew and loved him to join them in commemorating a life well-lived and a soul who will continue to inspire those left behind. He will be remembered for his energetic spirit, unwavering devotion to his family, and the kindness he bestowed upon everyone he encountered. May he rest in peace.
