Vincent A. Urgola, age 65 died on Saturday October 12, 2013 at his home in Lyndhurst NJ. He is survived by his devoted wife Arlene, beloved children Vincent and his wife Alexandra, Edward, grandchildren Vincent and Joseph, brothers Peter and his wife Arlene, Anthony and his wife Loretta, and Augie and his wife Lauren, as well as many relatives and friends. He was born in Harrison NJ on April 13 1948 to Louise and Anthony Urgola but spent most of his life as a proud resident of Lyndhurst, NJ. Vinny attended Harrison High school in Harrison NJ and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson NJ with a Bachelors and Master's degree in Social Work. He has worked for over 18 years at North Hudson Community Action Corp. as Director of Operations and New Business Development. Vinny served as a Sergeant in the US Army where he was stationed oversees. Vinny devoted his life to his family and his work both with NHCAC as well as tireless efforts with various community organizations including Bergen County Cancer Association, Disaster Advisory Committee, the NJ Primary Care Association. He was an active member of multiple church communities including St. Anthony's Church in East Newark, Mt. Carmel Church and St. Michael the Archangel Church in Lyndhurst. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Michael's R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 6-9PM & Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
