Vincent C. Vegliante, 89, of Palisades Park, NJ on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Mr. Big to our gang of 4th, 5th and 6th graders way back when or Vinnie V to most everyone else, is gone. Beloved husband of 52 years to Jeanne who always and compassionately looked after him. Greatest father ever to Steve, father-in-law to Gladys who to this day says she never met anyone like him in her life. Fun loving grandpa Vinnie to Nicole & husband Rich, Kimberly, Michelle and Stephan. Greatgrandpa Vinnie to Nicolas. Brother to Anne and Margaret. Uncle to many. He is now happily reunited with his parents Alfonso & Guisippina, brothers Frank, Nick, Mario, Rudy, Jerry and sister Mary, first wife Ines, friends Ed, Charlie and Ernie and of course Bang-Bang and Brandy! Educated and toughened on the streets of Brooklyn USA, Vinnie was one of those larger than life self made men of whom when you think of the hundreds of stories can only shake your head and smile. On his last day his son Steve said to Vinnie "part of you will always be with me" and Vinnie replied "I know, and part of you will always be with me". And then he smiled his megawatt smile. We will always miss you and we will always love you. Graveside service Wednesday at 11 AM St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
