Vincent Savage

Vincent Savage, 83, of Edgewater, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Beloved husband of Florence Savage (nee Caputo). Loving father of Vincent Savage & his wife Arlene, and Diane Rosthal McNinch & her husband Jason. Cherished grandfather of Carly & Nicholas Rosthal. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, greatnephews, friends and his beloved pet Maggie Mabel. He is predeceased by his parents Vincent & Mabel (nee Sellers) Savage, his first wife Dolores (nee Nitti) Savage and his pet dog Enu. Mr. Savage was an Army Veteran. He was an avid boater and fisherman and past commander of Palisades Power Squadron where he volunteered endless hours of teaching others safe boating. He was a self employed contractor for Savage Construction of Edgewater and Long Island. Vinny had the hands and soul of an artist and could bring to life all his creative imaginings. Funeral Monday 10AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass 11AM Madonna Church on the Hill. Private cremation. Friends will be received Sunday 2-6PM. The family would like to thank all the dedicated and caring people of the Amedisys Hospice Group who worked so tirelessly to bring comfort to Vinny in the end.
