Vincenzo Iemma, the son of the late Carmine Iemma & Caterina Imundi, was born on August 6th, 1924 in Caserta, Italy. He was a long time resident of Jersey City, NJ who passed away at home on the morning of April 7th, 2016 in Napanock, NY surrounded by his loving family. Vincenzo survived World War II as a prisoner of war and immigrated to America with his wife and children in 1957. He was a retired fireman in charge, Black Seal Operating Engineer of Local 68, he enjoyed picking and sharing figs, peaches and tomatoes from the garden he grew with his wife. His life, tradition and love are survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Felicia Iemma, daughter Catherine Martinez, daughter-in-law, Phyllis Mills and several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Assunta and son, Carmine. Funeral service Monday at 10:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Monday 9-10:30AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh NY 12550.
