Vincenzo Oliva

Vincenzo Oliva, 67, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Matera, Italy. Born in Montescaglioso, Italy to Giuseppe and Anna Maria, he moved to the United States with his wife and two sons in 1990. Vince was a dedicated, loving, hardworking family man who put his wife, kids and grandkids first his entire life. He loved teaching his grandchildren how to tend to his large organic garden, to make homemade wine, sausage, tomato sauce, and much more. He enjoyed doing magic tricks of money coming from their ears. Vince loved to create and cook new recipes for his family to try. Any friend who visited his home was greeted with open arms and felt like a true member of his family. He kept Italian traditions alive with his active participation in the San Rocco Society here in NJ.
Vince is the loving husband of Nunziatina (nee Gallo) Oliva. They would have been married 43 wonderful years on October 6th. Cherished father of Giuseppe & his wife Porzia, their children Alessia, Adriana and Vincenzo; and Michael & his wife Jessica, and their children Vincent and Eliana. Beloved son-in-law of Michele & the late Antonia. Dear brother of Arcangela (the late Domenico), Michael (Rosa), Vitina, & Rossella (Giuseppe); Adored brother-in-law of Vitina and Nunzio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday, October 2, 2 - 6 pm Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Monday, October 3 at 10 am from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home. Memorial Mass 11 am St. Thomas More Church, Fairfield.
