Virginia F. Southard

Virginia F. Southard (nee Killinger), age 92, former resident of Fort Lee and Bergenfield, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Frank L. Southard. Devoted and loving mother of Patricia Luse (Steven), James Southard (Laurie), Linda Cerny and the late Catherine Opatovsky Barker (Jim). Dear sister of the late William Killinger and Mary Marrara. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Luse & his wife Bee, Wiliam Cerny & his wife Kathryn, Steven Luse & his wife Kendall, Matthew Opatovsky, Sarah Opatovsky & her fiancé Patrick, and Samantha Cerny McKoskey & her husband Foster and expected great-grandson Jack David Cerny. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of the Fort Lee Senior Center for many years, and a parishioner of Madonna Church and St. John the Evangelist Parish. Mrs. Southard worked for Sterns/Macys, American Cancer Society and Saverio Cereste Law Office. Funeral Monday 8:30AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass 9:30AM Madonna Church on the Hill. Interment Madonna Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 3-7PM.
