Virginia Kiriakopoulos

Virginia S. Kiriakopoulos (ne Demos) passed away November 17th, 2021. Born in Weirton, West Virginia to Stelios and Mary Demos, she was raised in Washington Heights, New York and spent most of her beautiful life in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Virginia studied Business at Columbia University and worked as a cardiological technician at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. It was there she met he beloved husband George, at that time a resident at Columbia Dental School. They were married soon after at Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church and subsequently moved to Fort Lee, New Jersey. When her husband moved his practice from Brooklyn, New York to Fort Lee, New Jersey, Virginia, besides raising their daughter, attended Fairleigh Dickinson Dental School and became a Dental Assistant, working side by side with her husband.
Virginia, along with her husband, was a member of The Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview, New Jersey until they became members of The Metropolitan Greek Orthodox Church of St John the Theologian in Tenafly, New Jersey. There, Virginia was an active member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society and sang in the choir as she did in the choirs of St. Spyridon and the Ascensin Greek Orthodox churches. She devoted her angelic voice to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for more than 50 years.
Virginia is survived by her loving daughter who will miss her ever so greatly as she was a wonderful & loving mother. Funeral Service Friday 12:30PM at The Metropolitan Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Theologian. Interment George Washington Memorial Park. Friends will be received Friday 11:30AM-12:30PM at The Metropolitan Greet Orthodox Church of St. John the Theologian. Arrangements under the direction of the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee.
