Luers, Walter Charles, of Fort Lee, NJ on September 3, 2004. Beloved husband of Gloria (nee Manolio) Luers. Loving father of Walter and his wife Addie Luers, Denise and her husband Thomas Rich. Dear brother of Adeline Alessi and the late Alvina Potocki. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great grandson. Mr. Luers was a resident of Fort Lee for 51 years. He worked in the Traffic Dept. for Conrail Railroad in Hoboken for 32 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Luers was Past President of the Brotherhood of Railway Lodge 876. He was a Scoutmaster & Commissioner for the Bergen County Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of VFW Post 2342 in Fort Lee and a member of the Fort Lee Senior Citizens & Epiphany Senior Citizens of Cliffside Park. Funeral Service Tuesday 1PM at the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ. Entombment Madonna Mausoleum. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Hackensack Hospice c/o Hackensack University Medical Center, 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
