Walter Edward Murren

Walter Edward Murren, 91, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 surrounded by his family at his daughter's home in Nutley, NJ. Born in Nutley, NJ, he was the son of the late Andrew J and Florence (nee Koerner) Murren.
Walt was a 1962 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was employed by Fedway Associates, Inc in New Jersey for 33 years as Chief Accountant and was also President of the Fedwin Federal Credit Union before retiring in 1998. He was deeply involved with Building and Grounds at the Tradition club and the Construction Crew at Habitat for Humanities for over 17 years. He was a member of the Gold Tee Golf group in the Tradition Community.
Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Banks) Murren. Loving father of Cheri Harris, Kathleen Miele, Marc & his wife Caren Murren, and the late Georgia Murren. Endeared stepfather of Michelle Mendez, Virginia McGarvey (Michael), Denise Glew (Brian), Margaret Fontayne (Diego). Cherished grandfather of Justin, Danielle (Eric), Rachel (K'Hill), Sean (Karlee), Liana (Harrison), Ryan (Danielle), Taylor, Riley, Shelby, Salvatore, and Nicole. Adored great-grandfather of Benjamin, Everley, Kinslee, Ava, Raylynn, Emmarie, and Olivia. Dear brother of the late Andrew J Murren, Jr and Eugene Murren.
