Walter L. Hugg, 86, of Belvidere, New Jersey, formerly of Fairfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Beloved husband of Dolores Hugg (nee Ferguson). Loving father of Walter H. Hugg, Gayle Ritter, Barbara Burghardt and stepfather of Dwayne, Donald & Ronald Russell, Lynne Corcoran, Kathleen Russell and Patricia Westergaard. Dear brother of Robert Hugg, Eleanor Casagrande and the late John & Miton Hugg and Edith Fleer. Cherished grandfather of Carl, Kevin & Carolyn and 7 stepgrandchildren. He is predeceased by 1 stepgrandchild. Adored great-grandfather of 1 great-grandchild and 4 stepgreat-grandchildren. Mr. Hugg was an Engineering Inspector for the Township of Fairfield before retiring and a Fairfield Volunteer Fireman for 25 years. Funeral service Saturday at 10 AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Interment to follow Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Friends will be received Friday 4-8 PM.
