Jehl, Wilbur F., M.D., 90, of North Caldwell, NJ on Monday, October 25, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Janet. Devoted son of the late Joseph & Marie Jehl. Loving father of Linda Jehl & her husband Joseph Tirado and John J. Jehl, M.D. & his wife Susan. Dear brother of the late Joseph Jehl, M.D. Cherished grandfather of Scott & his wife Stephanie, Kristen and Adam Jehl. Dr. Jehl was employed at Essex County Sanitorium/Essex County Hospital Center in Verona from 1948 until he retired in 1987. He was a charter member of the West Essex Lions Club and a member of the AMA/Medical Society of New Jersey. He was a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT and Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He earned the Golden Merit Award for 50 years practicing medicine from the Medical Society of New Jersey in 1995. He was a resident of North Caldwell for over 50 years and was a member for many years of the North Caldwell Board of Health. Dr. Jehl was a Captain in the US Army. Funeral Friday at 11AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd., Fairfield. Cremation private. Friends will be received Thursday 3-5 & 7-9PM.
