William G. Payne, 83, of White House Nursing Home in Orange, NJ, formerly of Montclair Manor on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Helen M. (nee Romaniak). Devoted son of the late William & Ethel Payne. Loving stepfather of Gail Barilli and Sandra Scully. Dear brother of Ann Marie & her husband Walter Hanley. Cherished uncle of AnnMarie Hanley, Suzanne Grund, Dana Van Gray, Walter & William Hanley. Dear nephew of Lillian McNeil. Also survived by numerous cousins. Mr. Payne was a company mail distributor for Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York for over 15 years. He was a WW II Navy veteran proudly serving from 1944 to 1946. Funeral Saturday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10 AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Friends will be received Friday 4-8 PM.
