William J Abate

William J.Abate, 55, of Fairfield, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Beloved husband of Angela (nee Tandurella) Abate. Cherished father of Alyssa Marie Abate. Loving son of Mary Lou Abate and son-in-law of Rosemarie Tandurella. Dear brother of Evette & her husband Greg Chebuske and John Abate. Adored brother-in-law of Josephine & her husband James Kish. Adored uncle of Michelle, Kristy, Nicholas, and Jamie. Predeceased by his father Anthony Abate and father-in-law Salvatore Tandurella. Bill was an Ironworker with Local 11 for 20 years. He was a kind-hearted, fun-loving and a gentle person who loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife and daughter, tracking and analyzing the weather patterns and celebrating Christmas. Many family and friends referred to Bill as Weatherman Bill and/or Mr. Christmas. Bill will be forever remembered by his extended family and dear friends. Funeral Monday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass Monday 10AM St. Thomas More Church. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Friends will be received Sunday 2-6PM. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
