William M. Balint

Balint, William M., 88, of Bayonne, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Born August 26, 1928 in Bayonne, NJ to the late Mary Balint (Repko) & Joseph Balint. Beloved husband of the late Georgiana Balint (nee Korbelak). Dear father to Marguerite (Edmund) Walsh, Barbara daGraca (partner David), Edith Balint (fianc James Rooney), Mark Balint, Paul (Katerina) Balint, and Allison (Doug) Trovato. Dear brother to Mary (James) Quinn, Michael (Paula) Balint and Joseph (Mary) Balint, all deceased. Cherished grandfather to Matthew Walsh, Diana Walsh, Jeffrey daGraca, Alexa Balint, Cassandra Trovato, Zachary Balint, Danielle Trovato & Michael Trovato and great-grandfather to Emilee Slisky. Bill was a US Veteran serving in the US Army 301 First Logistical Dept. of Information & Education as a corporal from 1950-1952. He worked at the New York Daily Mirror from 1947-1963 in the Editorial Dept. He worked for The Exxon Company, Bayonne, in the Special Products Dept. retiring in August of 1986. Bill was a huge Mets fan, NY Giants fan, Notre Dame College football fan, who loved his dog, Barney, his cockatiel, Charlie, being visited by his family, sitting on his swing on his front porch smoking a cigar and reading his newspaper, vacationing in Seaside Heights and floating in the ocean. He also loved to listen to classical and big band music and the likes of favorites, Dean Martin and Jimmy Dorsey. Funeral Thursday 10AM from the Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne. Funeral Mass 11AM St. Vincent de Paul Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-9PM.
